During this project we will be studying American art styles. With the knowledge of these art styles we're going to make self portraits in the same style as our chosen American art style.
You will learn to investigate an art style, experiment with ideas, make a final art work and create a presentation explaining all you’ve learnt and how that links to your work.

For research you are going to write down some basics so that you know what your art style is about. Make sure to write down the information thoroughly and without plagiarism. Plagiarism is -1 point. Write your research in a word document and hand it in via soms hand-in point.

· How did this art style come about? (mention your sources)
· How can you recognise this art style? Name 4 characteristics (mention your sources)
· Find 3 artists that come from your chosen art period, that inspire you. Write down their names and find an art work made by them that inspire you!
· Add 5 other pictures in your chosen style that inspire you:

You do not have to present the presentation yourself. It’ll be for me and you to read and see what you’ve done and learnt. This does mean you will have to make your point come across!
Plagiarisme is a big no-no during this project. Minus points will be taken from your mark.
