Just like every human, artists wonder who they are and if they can capture their own likeness. They often use their fascinations and hobbies as a subject for their work. This is why it is important to establish who we are and what we like before we start our art journey.
We will also be reflecting on what art we have already seen and experienced.
What are you going to learn during this project?
You are going to learn:
to sketch* visuals instead of words
look back on things/hobbies/experiences that you enjoyed and create a mindmap* with these items
how to start from an idea*, to a sketch to a final work*
What learning tracks are we working on?
Inquisitive: I am curious and I like to learn new things. I actively take part in lessons and activities
Risk-taking: I am willen to try new and different things. I am not afraid to make mistakes and I know I can learn from them.
Reflective: I am learning to understand what my strengths and points of development are. I am trying to grow and improve.
Introduction to arts.
First page dummy*: collage* about you, fill up the whole page. This can also be used as inspiration for the next page.
You're going to design a frontcover for your dummy. We will draw the final drawing on an A4 paper but start sketching in your dummy.
Criteria for your dummy cover:
A background: a (favourite?) place or situation for example (not a pattern or colour).
Your name in cool letters that show things you like. For example if you like playing tennis, you can turn your O into a tennisball.
The word: Art.
Add at least 5 things you like doing. Maybe these things can do something in the place or situation?
The whole page has to be filled and coloured in.
Finished? Check each criteria! Does every criteria get a "YES!", then come and show the teacher.
