Photoshop illustration

We are going to turn a photo into a photoshop illustration by using the free online programme Photopea!

Step by step instruction

Step 1: open photopea.com in your web browser

Step 2: also open google images and type in the name of the person you want to choose

Step 3: under the search box, click on TOOLS and adjust the SIZE to LARGE

Step 4: choose a picture and right-click on it to copy the picture

Step 5: go to photopea and go to edit (top left corner) and click on paste. If this does not work, save the picture to your computer and "open from computer" in Photopea.

Step 6: we’re going to adjust one of the tools. Right-click on the tool above the water droplet to find the paint bucket tool.

Step 7: Check is you have all the tools in your screen. Lasso, colour picker/eye dropper and paint bucket. Can't find them? Right-click on some of the tools to see if it's under it, like with the gradient/paint bucket tool.

Step 8: these next steps you will repeat throughout the assignment:

1: lasso: create an areas that consists of mostly the same colour

2: eyedropper: select a colour in the lasso’s created area

3: paint bucket: click in the created area to turn the whole area 1 colour.

Step 9: SAVE! file > export as > jpg

zoom in/out: alt+ scroll with mouse
move in screen: spacebar and move mouse around
Go back one step: ctrl + z
Lasso: key L
Eyedropper: key i
Bucket: key g
